Jan A. P. Kaczmarek is a composer with a tremendous international reputation that continues to grow. As a successful recording artist and touring musician, Jan turned to composing film scores as his primary occupation. In February 2005, Jan won his first Oscar for Best Original Score on Marc Forster's highly acclaimed film, "Finding Neverland." He is currently splitting his time between Los Angeles and Poznan in Poland, where he started in 2011 the Transantlantyk Film & Music Festival.
One of the most distinguished and beloved composers of our time, Shigeru Umebayashi, owes his fame to his composition for the film “Yumeji” (1991), which led to his first collaboration with the Chinese director Wong Kar-Wai in 1999, and his film “In the Mood for Love”. In 2004 his second work for a Wong Kar-Wai film followed, the exquisite “2046”, and in this time he also composed the score for Zhang Yimou’s epic film “House of Flying Daggers”. He is currently working in Wong Kar-wai's new film "The Grandmasters".
Trevor Jones is a celebrated composer, famous mainly for his score in Michael Mann's "Last of the Mohicans". He has composed over a hundred projects for film and television. They include, ‘Excalibur’, ‘The Dark Crystal’, ‘Runaway Train’, ‘Angel Heart’, ‘Mississippi Burning’, ‘Cliffhanger’, ‘Arachnophobia’, ‘Merlin’, ‘ Sea of Love’, ‘In the Name of the Father’, ‘Richard III’, ‘Brassed Off’, ‘Dark City’ and ‘Notting Hill’ amongst many others. His pioneering work with the fusion of Acoustic and Electronic sounds set the benchmark for film and television scores.
Rachel Portman was born in west Sussex, England. She began composing at the age of 14 and read music at Oxford University. Whilst there, she became interested in writing music for student films and theatre productions. She gained experience writing music for drama in BBC and Channel 4 films such as Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit, Mike Leigh's Four Days In July and Jim Henson's Storyteller series, however the majority of her work has been in film. Rachel won an Academy award for her score for Emma and Academy nominations for Chocolat and The Cider House Rules.
From historical epics to courtroom drama to tales of the supernatural, Icelandic composer Atli Örvarsson has provided innovative scores to tell all of these stories. Örvarsson’s talent, experience, versatility, and skill combined with his Icelandic roots has produced an individualized and compelling style that contributes to his success as a musician and composer. Örvarsson’s credits include orchestrating and writing music for some of Hollywood’s biggest projects, including the Pirates of the Caribbean series.
Benoît Charest is a Canadian guitarist and film score composer from Quebec. He is best known for the soundtrack of the animated film Les Triplettes de Belleville (2003), for which he won a César Award for Best Music Written for a Film as well as a Los Angeles Film Critics Association Award for Best Music. The song "Belleville Rendez-vous", in particular, earned him an Academy Award nomination as well as a Grammy Award nomination.
Carles, who is based in Barcelona, is a musician of classical and jazz training. He has directed and taken part in several jazz, chamber music, big band formations and he has composed songs for important Spanish singers. Nowadays he is completely devoted to the composition of film scores and concert works. He is an outstanding pianist, and also a cellist and a conductor. Over the last twenty years he has composed more than 60 soundtracks, several concert works, mostly for chamber groups (trios, quartets, wind quintets) and orchestras, and has recorded over 30 albums.
Avshalom Caspi is a composer, arranger and producer, winner of Best Score at the Shanghai International Film Festival 2012 and Goya Nominee 2012. His credits include De Tu Ventana a la Mia / Chrysalis (composer), The Secret Diaries of Anne Lister (composer), Academy Award winner Talk to Her by Pedro Almodóvar (music producer) as well as some major theatre works such as Hamlet, Macbeth and Equus. He has also collaborated with bands such as Snow Patrol, Doves and Bloc Party, composing, arranging and conducting for both recording and live projects.

He previously made his name as a highly sought after guitar player with such influential british bands as The Smiths (he was known as 'the 5th Smith'), Morrissey (Solo), Aztec Camera, Alison Moyet and Terry Hall among many others.
Youssef Guezoum, film music composer, orchestrator and conductor, was born in Marrakech, the ochre city (Morocco) in 1975, a colorful and a melting-pot city where converges many musical tendencies: the folk music of the Middle and High Atlas mountains, African music like Gnawa’s and some influences from Andalusian (Moorish) music.

The music of Turkish/American composer Kamran Ince bridges Anatolia and Balkans to the West. The energy and rawness of Turkish and Balkan folk music, the spirituality of Byzantium and Ottoman court music, the tradition of European art music and the extravert and popular qualities of the American psyche are the base of his sound world. These ingredients happily breathe in cohesion, and they spin the linear and vertical contrasts so essential to his music forward.
Kostas was born in Athens in 1972. At a very early age he fell in love with movies and movie soundtracks. He grew up watching anything from Tarkovsky to Spielberg. After taking piano lessons and studying Film Music at the NAKAS Conservatory in Athens he immediately formed his band that performed his minimalistic music in venues all over Greece. He signed his compositions under the alias “John Romelmin” a name that very quickly spread among the European minimal music communities.
Stefano Lentini is based in Rome. His passion and talent radiates in every track he has produced. In his own words: “I write soundtracks for film and television, and I feel lucky because I have always worked with people who love their job, and not only that: people who feel responsible for what they do and for the role they play, who do not just stick to the idea that everything sucks, but roll up their sleeves, involve other people, and start doing something to make the world a better place.”
As an artist, Hélène was signed to EMI Records and Music Publishing at the age of 18. She is now signed to Sony/ATV. She is classically trained and plays a range of instruments including guitar, bass, keyboards and piano. Her singing has featured on many of Hans Zimmer’s film scores and several pieces for television, and various hits for other artists. Hélène has recently worked with John Powell for the scores for Happy Feet 2 and Ice Age 4.
Adam Nordén is one of Scandinavia’s most established and sought-after composers writing for film & TV. Born in Stockholm in 1971, Adam began his musical career while still in his teens playing keyboards in various local jazz and pop groups. During the last 10 years, he has enjoyed a diverse career working in all kinds of genres and media, composing music for feature films and television series as well as commercials and TV station identification packages.
Peter Nylander is a Swedish composer and musician/multi-instrumentalist based in Stockholm, but his background is international, to say the least. His formative years were spent in the United States, Denmark and Italy and touring with several different bands has brought him to all four corners of the world.
Axel Huber and Philipp Noll are two film composers from Stuttgart, Germany. They both studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart, followed by a master degree in film scoring and sounddesign at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg.
The young German composer was discovered by OTICONS agents from... Youtube. His composition "Entering the Stronghold" has become via Youtube an iconic theme that was licensed numerous times in spots, apps and video-games worldwide. Denny is a young composer in his 20’s based in Potsdam, Berlin, and working mainly from his own professional studio there. He started composing symphonic scores when he was 18 years-old and since then he acquired international fame which eventually led him to start scoring films and advertising spots of major brands.

Henrik Skram started playing the piano and composing music at an early age. At the age of 15 he was taken as an apprentice by film composer Randall Meyers. Later, composition studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, (1st Prize in Lutoslawski Competition for Young Composers). He worked extensively with composition for shortfilms and commercial films (more than 30 major production commercial films).
Christopher, who works from his studios in London, Madrid and Paris, is becoming increasingly known for his work as a composer. Part of his education was spent in Italy, where he studied with Ennio Morricone. At the end of 2009, Christopher was awarded one of the most prestigious prizes in film music, “Best Young European Film Composer” at the World Soundtrack Awards 2009 in Ghent.

A meeting with Belgium's most famous singer, Will Tura, resulted in a long term working relationship which highlighted with the 'Tura in Symphony' concerts for which he wrote the arrangements,performed by the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra.
